Welcome to the Collectables meeting page! (Collectables includes bric a brac as well as antiques! Please read below! )

Everyone collects things that have sentimental meaning, interest or importance to them. At our meetings as a group we examine and discuss items that we collect or have collected in the past. These items do not necessarily have to be antiques. They may be fairly modern items that are meaningful to your family and that you would like to share with us. Each member may bring along an object or a small group of objects. We take turns in displaying the objects and talking together about them.

For example in the past we have displayed collections or items involving writing materials, glass paperweights, books, pottery, scrapbooks, photographs, medals, ornaments, treen, sewing, copper and brass ware, trench art, postcards etc.

Each member does not have necessarily have to bring an item. They are still welcome to attend and take part in the discussions.

The group is always open to ideas and suggestions and may possibly in future arrange suitable external visits. Do contact us if you are interested and you will be very welcome to come along to our meetings.
