Online Membership Application

New members can join and pay online, using their credit or debit card, via our Beacon Membership Application process (the Beacon Process).

Terms and Conditions of Membership

Members will:

• Abide by the principles of the national u3a movement
• Act in the best interests of the u3a and not bring the u3a into disrepute
• Abide by the terms and conditions of the u3a constitution
• Treat fellow members with respect
• Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee
• Advise the committee of any change in personal details

Data Protection: Your data will be retained on our database and only be used in connection with u3a business.  You may be contacted by phone, email or post.  Photographs may be taken in meetings and used in publicity.  Please advise the committee if you do not wish to be included in photographs.

Safeguarding and Equality/Diversity/Inclusion: Ripon u3a aims to protect the health, wellbeing and protected characteristics of all members.  This would include making reasonable adjustments where this is possible.  Health and safety risk assessments are made on premises and you are encouraged to make individual assessments.  Please let you group leader or committee know if you encounter difficulties.

The Beacon Process

The Accept and Continue button below takes you to the U3A Beacon Application Form (for your personal details etc.), and thence to a PayPal Payment Form where you can pay into Ripon & District's PayPal account using your credit or debit card. (You do not need your own PayPal account.)

If you are eligible for Gift Aid and would like Ripon u3a to collect Gift Aid on your subscription, tick the Gift Aid box on the Beacon form.

After payment, you should receive an e-mail from PayPal as a receipt and an e-mail from Ripon & District u3a to confirm membership.
