This is a U3A group that has been running, as RCAP, for several years, first with Lottery Funding then latterly self funded.

We meet Friday mornings in Copt Hewick Village Hall, and anyone interested in joining us is welcome to come along & see what we do - 9.30am is coffee time.

RARG carries out mainly desktop research into the archaeology of Ripon & surrounding parishes relying heavily on the internet to access information.

We have published several booklets on parishes surrounding Ripon. This research continues & we are now also researching the Industrial Archaeology of Ripon such as Carriage Works, Leather Working.

To fund our activities each member pays in £15 a month, which covers the cost of the hall, licences, materials & refreshments.
